This team is utilized to ensure AlphaCore advances the objective of providing the highest level of wealth management services for our clients and advisors.

Dick Pfister, CAIA
CEO and Founder, AlphaCore
Dick has over 25 years of experience in the wealth advisory and financial services with an emphasis on diversifying traditional portfolios with alternative strategies. In 2015, he founded AlphaCore, a leading investment advisory and financial technology firm. He serves as AlphaCore’s CEO and managing member of the Investment Committee. He has successfully navigated changing market conditions on behalf of hundreds of entrepreneurs and investment professionals.
As a partner at Altegris, Dick democratized access to elite asset managers previously not available to the mainstream investor. In 2010, Dick and his partners sold Altegris to a Fortune 500 company.
Earlier in his career, Dick started as a technical analyst and floor trader at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. He managed the Global Trade Desk for Dean Witter Reynolds. In addition, Dick is a part of the inaugural class of Chartered Alternative Investment Analysts. (CAIA)
Dick provides investment insight to the San Diego Foundation Investment Committee, the USD Emerging Leaders Council and served as a board member for Voices for Children, a charity focused on helping foster children throughout San Diego.
Dick has a Business degree with an emphasis in Finance from the University of San Diego.

Franklin Antonio
Chief Scientist Emeritus, Qualcomm
Franklin will be deeply missed and remembered by many. He affected lives worldwide in profound ways. His contributions to the advancement of technology & science as well as his charitable endeavors, will provide a positive influence for generations to come. Among other extraordinary attributes, he was a mentor, a friend, and a valuable AlphaCore Advisory Committee member.
Franklin Antonio was a co-founder of Qualcomm, where he served as Chief Scientist Emeritus. He graduated from UC San Diego with a bachelor’s degree in Applied Physics and Information Science in 1974. After college, he worked at Linkabit for 12 years before joining Irwin Jacobs, Andrew Viterbi and four others to create Qualcomm in 1985. Antonio led the growth of Qualcomm’s engineering departments, served as project engineer for Qualcomm’s OmniTRACS satellite communication system, and contributed to Qualcomm’s code division multiple access (CDMA) technology and Globalstar low-Earth-orbit satellite system. He has provided strategic technical guidance and engineering mentoring across all of Qualcomm’s engineering programs. He held 378 granted and pending patents worldwide.

Robert R. Dean, CFA
President and Founder, Harmony Capital
Robert Dean, CFA, is the President and founder of Harmony Capital LLC, a private investment management company headquartered in Redwood City, CA. Harmony Capital, founded in 2007, provides investment advice, asset management, estate planning, and various other family office services to its clients, which include family limited partnerships, high net-worth individuals, and foundations. In addition to managing Harmony Capital, Dean is the managing member of Harmony Services LLC, which specializes in Real Estate development opportunities. He serves on the Board of Trustees at the University of San Diego, in addition to serving on their Athletics Committee, Investment Committee and is the chair of the Finance Committee. Dean is also Chairman of the San Francisco Baseball Associates LLC (San Francisco Giants) and serves on the MLB Pension Committee and the MLB Investment Committee. He is a member of the CFA society of San Francisco and the chair for the St. Francis High School Investment Committee. Prior to starting Harmony Capital, Dean was a vice president and portfolio manager with Franklin Templeton Investments. He managed the Franklin Aggressive Growth Fund and specialized in equity research of the IT services, computer hardware, and data storage industries. He joined Franklin Templeton in 1995. Dean received his Bachelors of Business Administration from the University of San Diego in 1994.
In his free time, Dean enjoys spending time with his family and friends, playing golf, and competing in triathlons. Dean completed his first Ironman triathlon at Lake Tahoe in 2013.

David Silvera
David brings over 20 years of experience as a principal and advisor to growing asset management firms. In 2000, he co-founded Rosemont Investment Partners, a leading private equity firm focused on providing capital and strategic value to asset management businesses. He developed innovative investment structures designed to align the interests of all parties. David served as an active partner and board member to dozens of asset managers, providing guidance to promote business growth, corporate best practices and strategic direction.
He has led more than 40 transactions in the asset management industry and has a long history of creating successful, collaborative relationships among affiliates. Prior to the formation of Rosemont, David worked as an investment banker at Smith Barney and Legg Mason.
David holds an A.B. degree in English from Columbia University and an M.B.A. in Finance and Entrepreneurial Management from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Jason Seltzer, CFA
Partner, Temperance Partners
Jason is a Partner at Temperance Partners, a private investment firm based in Toronto, Canada funded by permanent family capital. Founded in 2011, Temperance focuses on strategic investments in privately-held financial services related businesses. He brings more than 25 years of experience as a principal investor, banker and strategist working with a range of public and private companies, institutions and family offices within financial services, real estate and other industries. He has been involved with more than $100 billion of corporate and capital raising transactions during his career. Jason received his M.B.A. from the New York University Stern School of Business, B.B.A. from the University of Michigan and is a Chartered Financial Analyst and member of the CFA Institute and CFA Society of New York.
